Introduce a governance workflow so that any Dictionary additions have to be approved by a "Guardian" role.
While the Dictionary tool is useful, it is not powerful enough to act as a Business Concept Model. I would like to be able to have a business-friendly, visual model of the key concepts that are important to a business and the relationships between those concepts. I would also like to be able to document attributes of each concept. Currently, the dictionary does not allow me to show relationships between entries (e.g., ...more »
It would be very helpful to have the possibility to reference one dictionary entry from another (like attached documents).
Creating a way to link words or passages of text from one term description to another glossary term would be extremely helpful. Both for the modeling and the portal user. Optimal would be automatic suggestions, analogous to the solution in the graphical process editor.
Capability to export Attributes (e.g. Methods) and Relationships for a Data Object entry (UML Class Diagram). The current Excel export via the Data Dictionary, only shows the Data Object Title and ID.
Current: Title field is searchable in dictionary.
Future: Make custom attributes (configured) searchable in dictionary as well.
Internal to my organization, the editors need to label their information with different numbers. Their numbers have specific meanings and may change over time. Instead of having the number included in the [Title] field, a custom attribute is introduced to hold this information.
It is very expensive to assign attributes of the type "Glossary entry (list)": each glossary entry must be searched, selected and added individually. Then the same game for the next, etc. For longer lists, this procedure is infinitely tedious. We therefore need a solution to how a list can be compiled efficiently. Ideas: - Quickly searchable list of all glossary entries of the allowed glossary categories so that an item ...more »
For each dictionary category, custom attributes can be defined and displayed in Collaboration Hub. Existing capability is to display all custom attributes. Refer to existing capability of "Edit Collaboration Hub configuration", where visibility of custom attributes can be defined. Require a similar capability of Edit Dictionary Attributes Configuration, where visibility of some custom attributes can be defined for Collaboration ...more »
Recently, you can use your own vector graphics in the graphical editor for IT systems and additional stakeholders. We maintain our IT systems in the glossary. If such a glossary entry is used in the editor, you must still manually assign the corresponding graphic using the corresponding attribute. It would be useful if the vector graphics could be deposited directly at the glossary entry of the IT systems, so that the ...more »
IST: In an Excel export of glossary entries, all fields are formatted as numbers in Excel. SHOULD: It would be nice if the formatting of the individual columns corresponded to the formatting of the attributes in the glossary, that is, for example, an exported date also appears in Excel from the field type Date. In addition, it would be great if, for an exported attribute of type DropDown, the column is formatted directly ...more »
Currently, attributes can only be created as a table for elements of a modeling language. For glossary entries, this attribute is currently not available for the attributes. We hope that we can also add attributes to the glossary entries as a table.
We maintain our own attributes on our glossary terms. Glossary terms can be created by all modeling. Unfortunately, you can not mark your own attributes at the glossary definitions in the setup as a mandatory specification (as is possible, for example, for the elements of BPMN 2.0). Since when creating new glossary terms, the own attributes are listed at the very bottom and can only be accessed by scrolling, they are ...more »
